We’re excited to have you in attendance at Dubs’ Challenge this year! In teams of up to 5, players use the GooseChase app to complete trivia, wayfinding, and photo-based challenges. Teams have just two and a half hours to complete as many challenges and earn as many points as possible. The top-placing teams will be eligible to win fun prizes!
To participate in Dubs’ Challenge 2024, arrive at the Quad at 12:00PM on Saturday, September 21. Download the GooseChase app before you arrive! You can come alone, or with up to four friends that you’d like to form a team with. Students who arrive alone or in small groups will be paired with other Huskies to form a larger team. All undergraduate students are eligible to participate.
Download the GooseChase app! - We recommend downloading the app in advance in order to avoid tech issues during the event. Use join code K455M4 to join the event.
Join a team! - You can make a team in advance, or find teammates on-site. Teams can have up to 5 members. If your team has fewer than 5 members, you can combine with another team or add members at the Quad prior to the start of the game.
Arrive at the Quad at 12:00 PM! - Introductions, team-building, energizers, rules, troubleshooting, and the first few challenges will take place between 12:00 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Compete! - Over 50 tasks, trivia questions, and photo challenges will be released at 12:30 p.m. and will be available until 3 p.m. Work with your team to earn as many points as possible. Easier challenges are worth fewer points, while challenges that are difficult or time-consuming are worth more! Additional tasks will be released during the event, so pay attention to your Goosechase notifications. You will not be able to complete every single challenge in the allotted time - instead, you and your teammates will have to decide how you’d like to maximize your score!
Win! - The top-placing teams will be eligible to win fun prizes, courtesy of First Year Programs. See the prizes section for more information.

All teams have 2.5 hours to complete tasks. No exceptions.
Teams must contain five or fewer players! Teams with more than five players are not eligible to win prizes.
All team members can use the app to submit tasks. Some tasks require photos of a location or object, while others require a selfie, a photo of multiple team members, or a photo of all team members. Pay attention to this and submit exactly what the task asks for! Submissions that do not follow these rules will be scored as zero. If a task is not specific about the number of people, one person is acceptable. Your team can split up, but you won’t be able to complete some tasks without your whole team. Be strategic!
Do not share answers with other teams. All other resources around you - maps, other students (or staff), the internet - are fair game!
Observe COVID-19 protocols!
Don't take pictures or videos of other people without consent, and be considerate of people around you!
If you have any concerns, text First Year Programs at 206-207-5564, or visit the office in Mary Gates Hall 120.
