The Virtual Orientation Leader (VOL) is a leader, supporter, and guide who will help first-year and transfer students adjust to the UW smoothly. As a team, we provide education, support, and resources to over 9,200 first-year, transfer, and international students.

As a VOL, your main role will be to help students transition into the University. You will lead groups on Zoom during Advising & Orientation Part 2 sessions. VOLs must take and earn credit in GEN ST 370: Peer Facilitation Class during spring quarter (Wednesday 2:30-5:20 p.m., in-person). You must also attend all virtual training days and session dates listed in the timeline.
