FIG Leaders will do the following:

  1. Earn passing credit in the GEN ST 270 spring and autumn courses. Course requirements include:
    • Developing modules and lesson plans, building on the curricular framework provided by FYP.
    • Serving as a peer instructor and guide for a classroom of 20-25 first-year students, presenting organized lesson plans, facilitating active learning strategies, answering questions, etc.
    • Creating an inclusive and welcoming community by utilizing training provided by FYP.
  2. Portray the University of Washington, its policies, agencies, services, and campus life in an accurate manner to first-year students.
  3. Adapt to remote and in-person instruction based on needs.
