The University of Washington recently revealed its 2024 Awards of Excellence recipients. We are excited to share that LeAnne Wiles - Executive Director, First Year Programs & Strategic Initiatives, Student Academic Services - has received the David B. Thorud Leadership Award!
The UW Awards of Excellence are an annual tradition, highlighting students, alumni, staff, faculty and retirees who have made outstanding contributions to the UW community. The Thorud Leadership Award is the highest leadership recognition offered by the University, honoring the service of Dean Emeritus David B. Thorud. The award recognizes members of the UW community who:
LeAnne embodies all of these characteristics and more, and her leadership inspires our team every day. We are excited to recognize LeAnne for several years of exceptional leadership, not just for First Year Programs, but for the entire UW community.
A ceremony will be held in Meany Hall at 3:30 p.m. on June 6 to honor LeAnne and the rest of the Awards of Excellence recipients. The ceremony will be hosted by President Ana Mari Cauce and Provost Tricia Serio, and is open for all to attend.
