The Commuter and Transfer Commons was featured in The Daily on 10/6/16! Senior Program Manager Ali Albrecht shares the importance of having a space for students who often share the two identities as a commuter and transfer student.
“For a lot of transfer students, if you’re bussing and your commute is an hour and a half, you might not feel like you have the time to get involved in an RSO or do things. Their time is a little more limited,” said Ali Albrecht, senior program manager at First Year Programs (FYP) and Transfer Initiative manager. “We try to bring things to them during the day when they have more flexibility between classes to stop in, chat with people, or [attend] a career workshop.”
